Elvi Piper is a freelance Theatre Director, Writer and Facilitator (and sometime Dramaturg) based in Leeds.
She trained at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama and Insitut del Teatre, Barcelona
She is the founder and current Artistic Director of critically acclaimed family theatre company Wrongsemble.
Recent work includes: Hansel & Gretel at Leeds Central Library for Wrongsemble (Christmas 2019). The Not So Ugly Sisters - a Wrongsemble, Leeds Playhouse and REd Ladder Theatre Company co-production touring 2021 as Writer/Director. #Reimagine2020 - a Derby Theatre and Wrongsemble DCEP project (April-July 2020) as Project Manager and Theatre Mentor. Three - presented by Wrongsemble, Leeds Playhouse and Leeds2023 as Director. Rapunzel by Mike Kenny - presented by Wrongsemble and tutti frutti productions as part of Little Live Stories for Leeds (July 2020) as Director. HUMBUG: a digital theatrical adventure by Wrongsemble (Dec 2020) as Writer/Co-Director.
Upcoming Projects: Elvi will be remounting The Not So Ugly Sisters for touring in 2021 as Director. Elvi is currently under commission to write/direct a new version of Arabian Nights for 2021. Elvi will create a new version of The Snow Queen as writer/director for The Albany and ARC Stockton for Christmases 2021/22.
